New Startup: Mature Beyond its Years
Gold Coast, Australia, 6 December 2001 DreamSpring, a startup mobile computing software company, unveils its presence with the launch of its website.
Having successfully co-founded DASCOM, the Managing Director of DreamSpring created the new company with an approach that goes against the conventional wisdom of startups: "grow fast, get rich quick, IPO and in the process leave customers behind." DreamSpring recognises the important role of processes in producing high quality and user-friendly products.
Located at www.dreamspring.com, the website features a growing library of DreamSpring's processes, adapted from industry proven methods such as Cooper's Stage-Gate process, SEI's Team Software ProcessSM and use cases. DreamSpring is creating an integrated company-wide process.
On the launch of DreamSpring's website, Managing Director Malcolm Lithgow comments: "Our website offers a window into DreamSpring which we intend to keep wide open. Not only will our customers be able to purchase our products through the website, but they will be able to take part in developing them as well."
DreamSpring's initial product allows users of Symbian-based handheld devices to manage their contact details more efficiently and easily. The product is scheduled for release early next year.
