DreamSpring Releases Contact Manager DreamConnect 2

Gold Coast, Australia, 11 October 2005 — DreamSpring announced the availability of DreamConnect 2, the first contact manger to offer risk free contact editing and intelligent contact merge for Sony Ericsson & Motorola smartphone users.

DreamSpring released DreamConnect 2, an intuitive and user-friendly contact management application, replaces the standard UIQ Contacts. It offers significant improvements and benefits to help smartphone users manage their contacts more effectively.

DreamConnect 2 allows UIQ smartphone users for the first time the ability to restore information via undo, to redo actions and to cancel changes made to contact details while editing. It thus eliminates the possibility of deleting vital contact information by mistakes or the need to re-enter information.

Merging duplicate contacts in UIQ smartphones is a difficult task and can be quite time consuming. With DreamConnect 2, users no longer need to cut and paste each detail from one contact to another manually. They can select the contacts to merge, cut it, open the contact to merge into, and then paste and DreamConnect 2 will intelligently merge the details together.

DreamConnect 2 gives users the advantage of managing multiple contacts in the same, rich list view that is used for navigating through contacts. From this selection mode of the list view, users can perform a variety of actions on multiple contacts: delete, copy, cut, attach and detach categories, and (in a version coming soon) even send to multiple contacts at once. Not only that, but in the powerful detail view, users can select and copy details, and attach or detach categories from a single contact. Both list and detail view go well beyond UIQ Contacts to offer almost effortless contact maintenance.
