DreamConnect 3 Achieves Symbian Signed Status

Gold Coast, Australia, 7 August 2007 — DreamSpring, specialists in smartphone software, today announced the successful signing of their award-winning contact manager DreamConnect 3 by the industry standard Symbian Signed certification program.

Symbian Signed is an industry-wide testing and verification process recognised by major phone manufacturers and network operators including Sony Ericsson and Nokia for third party applications.

As a Symbian Signed application, DreamConnect 3 was thoroughly and independently tested following Symbian Signed's industry agreed guidelines. This adds an extra level of confidence and trust to smartphone users that DreamConnect 3 is of the highest quality and standard.

Like the other languages, the Chinese and Czech versions of DreamConnect 3 feature localised Business Card views. This allows users to view contact details laid out in the order natural to their language. In the Chinese version, DreamConnect 3 will show a contact's address in the order of country, city, district, street, and street number in the convention of the Chinese language as compared to the English convention of street number, street, district, city, country. The Chinese version even includes a special, "non-Chinese" layout for contacts using a language other than Chinese.

DreamConnect 3 v3.50 adds full import and export capability in addition to its certified status. It allows users to export and import their contacts, including hierarchical categories, in vCard format. Users can select contacts from their contact list to export. The powerful import feature gives users the ability to choose which contacts to import from a vCard file containing multiple contacts, and even to view each contact's details before importing.

DreamConnect 3 v3.50 is a step up for those who have a large contact database and need to keep their contacts up-to-date in multiple devices. This version complements the many industry first and innovative features currently in DreamConnect 3 such as language-sensitive smart find and dynamic group messaging, providing significant benefits for managing contacts.
