Viewing
DreamLife boasts efficient use of screen space to display more details at a glance. It offers a unique planner view for calendar and business card layout for contacts.Rich Planner View Platform first!
Display calendar entries in planner style, combining a unique layout with colours and graphics to enable quick visual interpretation of your calendar. You can view all activities types and details including duration, recurrence, status, categories and alarms all in an easy to understand format. This allows you to quickly identify any free time, clashes or unintended overlapping events.
Layered Month View Industry first!
Show full details of all activities in a selected day while still in the month view. It's essentially a month view with embedded day view. It allows you to gauge your month's activity volume while at the same time view, create or modify entries without leaving the month layout.
Multiple Calendar Views
DreamLife has multiple calendar views letting you choose the way you want to view your calendar. Choose from any of 1, 3, 5 day view, week view, or month view and DreamLife will remember your preference next time you view your calendar, even if you have closed the application.
Activity Details Display Industry first!
Entry details are displayed on a translucent popup while scrolling through the calendar. You can choose to display a summary of details, or display full details as you scroll through your activities. From the settings menu you can set how long you wish the details to pop-up on screen, or you can switch auto pop-up off, and activity details will only be displayed when you choose to view them.
Business Card Layout Platform first!
Clearly display contact details in the format of a business card for easy viewing. Most commonly used information is placed first, so it can be located at a glance. It uses up to 75% less screen space the standard Contacts uses to display the same details. It's still easy to use the details, just tap or select to call, message, or open a web page.
Contact Category Specific Layout Industry first!
Layouts are keyed to categories. When the contact belongs to only one category, or that category is currently selected, that category's layout is automatically used in the contacts detail view, highlighting information that is important to contacts belonging to that category. With the standard DreamLife, the Business category shows a contact's company details first followed by personal details, while the Personal category shows personal details first, other categories show the unfiled details first.
Customisable Contact Layout Industry first!
The layout of the information will alter depending on the category a contact is assigned to, with special layouts for Personal, Work, and company contacts. Clearly display the categories a contact belongs to in the edit view. This allows you to make changes to the categories a contact belongs to while editing it, saving you the hassle of switching to another view before any changes can be made.
Multi-Line Contact Note Display
Show all information in the note field of a contact. Regardless of how many lines or how long the note is, you can always see full details contained in the note from one screen. This saves you another step of going into another screen to continue reading the rest of a note, especially useful when you have long contact notes and more than one.
Auto Adjust View Depending on device support
Automatically resize and adjust the last calendar view or contacts you are on to fit the new screen configuration, vertical or horizontal. It simultaneously changes to landscape mode when device is positioned horizontally. Reposition your device to vertical will change it back to portrait mode.
Multiple Zoom Levels
Provides 5 different sizes to choose from when viewing calendar planner and details and contact details. The chosen size is remembered. Fast zoom access via the volume keys at any time.

DreamLife's alarm is as flexible as you are, allowing you to set how many hours and days in advance you want to be notified of an event, or the time and date.
Advanced Recurring Options
Full recurring settings with 7 customisable options to allow accurate scheduling. Options include daily, weekly, monthly by date/day and yearly by day/date. You can even change or remove individual repetitions which will stay connected to the originating activity.
Advanced Todo Scheduling
Allow advanced todo settings including with or without date selection, start & due dates, status, fully customisable alarm (hours/minutes before, days before, start date & time, sound), linkable location and attendees and categories; all these versus only due date, simple alarm date and time setting in the standard calendar.
Link Activity Location
Add a location for an event by selecting from your contacts database a contact's address. The location details will appear as a link in the activity's detailed description. When selected, will allow you to jump to the particular contact card for viewing and editing. You can also add location details manually that aren't linkable.
Add Attendees to Activity
Ability to add multiple attendees selected from the contacts database and link them to the activity. Provides flexibility to add either the work or home details of a contact as attendee. Choosing a particular home or work will allow you to use other 3rd party software such as Google or Exchange to send invitation to the attendee, depending on sync method.
Active Contact Link in Activity Details
When viewing details of an activity, scroll through the details to jump to a highlighted attendee linked to your contacts database to view or make changes to contact details, or create new contacts.
Organisation
DreamLife provides tools to organise all types of activities and your vast network of contacts in a way that reflects real life situations.Colour Coded Activities
Assign colours to differentiate newly created categories during setup. Entries placed to one of these categories will be displayed in the colour you choose for that category, making different categories easy to identify when viewing and editing your calendar.
Hierarchical Sub Categories Industry first!
Powerful tree-structured activity and relationship management with entries belonging to all of a category's parents in both calendar and contacts. This allows for specific categorisation without losing access to the benefits of more general categorisation. For example, a calendar entry belongs to Business > IBM will also show up in Business.
Multiple Categories Per Entry
Assign more than one category to an activity or contact, just like the real world. New categories can be easily created and edited. Use categories as filters to narrow down the activities and contacts you want to see.Multi-Category Select
Use multiple select in the category edit view to attach and detach a calendar entry or contact from more than one category at the same time.
Unfiled Category Platform first!
Store all the uncategorised entries and clearly shows which activities and contacts are yet to be assigned a category. A convenient and easy way to find out which entries need categorising. This eliminates the need to go through each contact and checking on their details. The coloured activity category also provides at a glance identifying of unfiled activities.
Attach/Detach a Category from Multiple Contacts

Searching contacts is fast and easy in DreamLife. It provides various methods as well as a combination of methods to search contacts.Key Match Industry first!
Especially designed for numeric keypad and virtual keypads, KeyMatch cleverly matches the pattern of letters found on each key of the keypad and searches for any combination of these letters at the same time. It reduces by at least half of the key presses required for searching for a contact on a numeric keypad. On touch devices, the finger friendly keypad substantially speeds up contact search versus either the adaptive search or qwerty keypads (which are all still available).
Global Find
Powerful find tool that searches any entered text (including numbers) and lists any contacts containing that text anywhere inside. A very handy feature during times you don't remember a person or company's name or just want to find out the person of the number that just sent you a message.
Fast Filter
Quickly narrow down the list of contacts as you type in the letters to locate the exact contact you are after. It will filter last names and first names simultaneously, making this a convenient, powerful search tool. Depending on the sort option selected, it will also filter country or company.Category Filter
Select a category to display only contacts and activities in that category. This narrows down the number of entries shown to help you locate the entry you are after quickly.
Multiple Sort Options

Editing
DreamLife boasts an innovative context editor for calendar and an optimised editor for contacts, both with advanced editing options aim at making editing on the go easier.2-Pane Context Editor Industry first!
Split activity editor provides context based planning in one screen. It lets you view where your activity fits into the day in a zoomable day planner to the right of the screen while you edit on the left. This eliminates the need to switch between views to verify free time slots, and avoids the annoyance of re-entry or unwanted overlapping events.
Optimised Editor
Only displays commonly used fields for contact editing to significantly shorten the time required to scroll through to the desired fields.Undo/Redo Industry first!
Ability to undo or redo changes to calendar and contacts information during editing as many times as you want without the risk of losing data or the need to re-enter data manually. This ensures details are not lost accidentally.
Full Editing Options
All commonly used editing options available, including copy, cut and paste activity details, whole contact or contact detail, cancel changes, delete whole contact, activity or a detail.
Direct Edit
All entry types directly editable from all calendar views. While viewing activities on any of the chosen calendar views, selecting an activity to edit will jump to the editor. You will never have to jump to a different calendar list view first.List View Editing

DreamLife makes it even simpler to edit a calendar entry or a contact from the list view:- On 5th Ed, tap the activity or contact twice will jump into the edit view
- On 3rd Ed, just tap the dpad's select key twice
Contact Preferred Number
Choose a preferred number for each contact to immediately dial the selected number by pressing Send in the list view, instead of selecting the number every time you call as in the standard Contacts.
